El acuerdo que enmienda el Convenio entre el Gobierno de Chile y el Gobierno de los Estados Unidos para evitar la doble imposición y prevenir la evasión fiscal en relación al impuesto a la renta y al patrimonio, y su protocolo, fue aprobado por el Senado.
La iniciativa junto con evitar la doble tributación, busca prevenir la evasión fiscal en relación con el impuesto a la renta y al patrimonio. Con ello se buscan fortalecer las transacciones internacionales entre Chile y Estados Unidos.
Otro de los objetivos es la eliminación o disminución de las trabas impositivas que afectan a las actividades e inversiones desde o hacia Chile.
El acuerdo entrará en vigencia en enero de 2024.
